What began as a modest venture by Nellie Spaziani in 1973 has evolved into a cherished community cornerstone, with her granddaughter Amy now leading the charge into the future.
The Beginning: Nellie’s Dream
In the early 1970s, Nellie Spaziani, a spirited and resourceful woman with a passion for sweet treats, saw an opportunity in the town’s growing love for quality ice cream. With a small loan and a big dream, Nellie opened King Kone. Located on College Avenue, King Kone is close to everything elmira has to offer.
